58 people indicted in Henry County drug investigation

March 22, 2018 - A grand jury has indicted 58 people on 178 felony drug charges, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office says they've been conducting an undercover drug operation over the past year.

They say it focused on opioid and pharmaceutical drug distribution.

Officials say the Henry County Commonwealth's Attorney, Virginia State Police, Martinsville Police, and the DEA all helped with the investigation.

Police seized fentanyl, heroine, meth, cocaine, marijuana, crash, vehicles, and things associated with the distribution and trafficking of the drugs.

The grand jury issued the indictments on March 19, 2018.
