Tuesday around 3am, officers were responding to a shots fired call at the Salem Commons apartments when they discovered two people with gunshot wounds.
On person was shot in the body and the other was shot in the arm after an altercation.
Both were taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The extent of the injuries are not know at this time.
