The Amherst County Sheriff's Office announced they are opening an investigation to a man who was found dead from a gunshot wound on Woodys Lake Road in Madison Heights.
Captain John Grieser said he was found around 7pm Wednesday evening.
They are waiting on the report from the Medical Examiner before classifying the cause of death.
