May 18, 2018 - Officials said a Buena Vista man studying to be a youth pastor pleaded guilty to federal charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
Christopher Collins, 32, pleaded guilty Wednesday without a plea agreement to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of attempting to send obscene matter to a minor under the age of 16 years.
Officials presented evidence that showed an investigation into Collins' online activity, which began in November 2016.
They said an undercover law enforcement officer, posing as a 13-year-old girl, was contacted in a chat room bya user posing as "NavyGuy4Yng" --- later described as Collins.
