The Virginia Department of Health in conjunction with the Lynchburg Health Department and the City of Lynchburg Department of Water Resources has issued a Boil Water Advisory.
They are asking people near Riverside Drive to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking due to a broken water main valve.
The following streets are impacted:
- Riverside DriveRidgelawn Place
- Reusens Road (in the 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 blocks)
- Chambersville Street
- Gilliam Avenue
- Rolfe Avenue
Do not drink tap water without boiling it first.
