Georgia-based Flowers Foods is recalling several snack cakes and bread products that were sold in multiple states.
They are recalling Swiss Rolls, sold under the brand names Mrs. Freshley’s, Food Lion, H-E-B, Baker’s Treat, Market Square, and Great Value (Walmart) that were distributed nationwide.
The recall also includes Captain John Derst’s Old Fashioned Bread distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Flowers said salmonella could be present in whey powder, and ingredient used in both products, that was provided by a third-party whey powder manufacturer and supplier.
