The Lynchburg Police Department said a red fox, with possible mange, is causing some chaos around the area.
Police said the first report was Saturday, September 22 when the fox was seen by a citizen chasing a man on a bike in the Plaza parking lot near High Peak Sports Wear.
They said the man was seen kicking at the fox to try to keep it away.
Police said they don't know if the man was actually bitten because he didn't call 911 or make a police report.
The second incident happened Sunday, September 23 around 5 a.m. when the fox bit a citizen on Yorktown Avenue.
They said the fox scratched on the door of a home in the 2200 block and when the resident opened the door and looked around, the fox bit the person's leg.
Police said the resident had to have medical care for the bite.
