Montgomery County Deputies Won't Be Charged In Officer-Involved Shooting


The Franklin County Commonwealth's Attorney has completed his investigation into an officer-involved shooting in Montgomery County that left an 18-year-old dead. 

Taylor Kiel Etienne Tincher died from a gunshot wound after encountering two Montgomery County deputies on August 25. 

They were called to a home in the 900 block of Walton Road for a report of a "disturbed individual" and Tincher pulled a gun on the deputies when they got to the scene. 

Police said Tincher started walked towards the deputies in a "threatening manner."

Tincher was taken to New River Valley Medical Center where he later died. 

Mr. AJ. Dudley was appointed special prosecutor on August 30.
