Roanoke And Southwest Virginia Lead In Accidents Thanks To Slick Roads

Even after repeated warnings not to go out on the roads, Roanoke and Southwest Virginia are leading the Commonwealth in the most accidents and stalled cars due to the hazardous conditions from Winter Storm Diego. 

According to a tweet, Virginia State Police have responded to 1,177 crashes & 1,589 disabled vehicles since Sunday AM. 

They continue to urge people to stay off the roads until secondary roads can be cleared. 

Also, VSP have gotten 119 downed tree/debris calls and shared a picture from Patrick County.
